Sisters and Brothers,
Lent has begun! Lent is a season of the soul. It calls us to get out of the rut and to pay attention to the things of the Spirit. Whenever we dedicate ourselves to fasting, giving, praying, study or works of mercy we are called out of our normal rut. As we practice these disciplines we begin to recognize our reliance upon God - because that is the source of all good things.
I hope you will make a point of being with us each Sunday this Lent. Take part in the Lenten soup suppers. Spend time in prayer. Give a bit more. Be satisfied with "enough" rather than giving into your cravings. Share the journey with others.
