Sisters and Brothers,
Last Sunday, we were honored to have Bishop Rick with us for the consecration and dedication of our new altar. It was a wonderful service! Many thanks to all those who made it possible - especially the choir who did an amazing job in supporting the worship with song and music.
This Sunday we dig a bit deeper into the Advent season. We are urged to prepare for the coming of Christ. This is a holy time - not a secular one. While the world seems engulfed with shopping we, as Christians, are called to take a different approach. We are called to watch, to wait, to repent and to prepare. We are called to sweep our hearts clean and remove the clutter that has accumulated in our lives so that we might find space for the Holy One who comes to us. So while we are making room for all those special Christmas decorations, let us that action as a reminder that we must also find room for hope, peace, joy and love in our lives. Let us find room for grace, mercy, forgiveness and compassion this season.
I look forward to seeing each of you this Sunday. Let's all get ourselves to church so that we can continue the preparation together.
