Sisters and Brothers,
First, I want to thank folks for their kind words, the choir's anthem and other music, the yummy cake and the blessing at the end of Mass on Sunday. It has truly been an honor and privilege to serve as your pastor for the past 5 years. We now look forward to the next 5 years and wonder what God has in store for us! One can only imagine!
Secondly, I want to call your attention to the Healing Service scheduled for this evening at 7 P.M. Our world is hurting. We are a nation wracked with dis-ease. People are in pain. This is reason enough to gather for prayer. But tonight we'll be offering prayers and anointing for a service of healing for all kinds of troubles. We trust that God is still in the healing business and I invite you to join us.
Lastly, I want to invite folks to stick around after worship on Sunday as Linda Allegro from the New Sanctuary Network meets with us. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the struggles that immigrants are facing.
